The locals have always been turned towards the sea and fishing. For this reason, even today, we find here the best seafood restaurants. A well-known fact is that the best fish is prepared by fishermen themselves, but if you want to prepare seafood dishes then head to the small harbor at daybreak, wait for the fishermen to return from sea and buy the freshly caught fish. Fažana is coastal town in the south-west of the Istrian peninsula, opposite the Brijuni islands. The town dates from the ancient Roman times when its name was Vasanium and was well-known for manufacturing amphorae, vases and tiles.
The Municipality of Liznjan is situated on the very southeast of the Istrian peninsula. It's west neighbor is the village of Medulin , the sea coast on the south and east and the bay of Budava on the north. The biggest villages in the municipality are Liznjan, which is the administrative center, Sisan, Muntic and Valtura. The area of Liznjan is one of the latest oasis of untouched nature and traditional Mediterranean way of life. It owes that to its natural beauties, the long coast with a lot of intimate beaches and bays, its fertile soil and valuable forests, to fishermen and people who are in love with their village.
Krnica is a small Istrian settlement of 300 inhabitants within the Marčana county situated 195 m above sea level and just 20 kilometres from Pula. Luka Krnica ( Port of Krnica) is its "coastal" extension. There is the post office, the shop and a few coffee bars. A number of picturesque settlements is situated in the vicinity of Krnica, namely: Rakalj, Mutvoran, Peruški, Kavran, Barban, Gologorički Dol, Marčana that you must visit if you decide to spend your holidays in Krnica. It is a place ideal for those who look for completely peaceful holidays.
Medulin, ancient Mutila, is a town with 1,700 residents and a long, richly indented coastline which is encircled by a ring of small islands. Today Medulin is a renowned tourist centre which, along with hotels and campsites, offers a large number of rooms and apartments in private accommodation. Everything is directed toward tourism. Medulin has a bank, post office, medical clinic for tourists, florist, wine-cellars, hairdresser's, numerous stores, goldsmiths, souvenir shops, marketplace and more.
Moving away from the city and turning towards the sea, over the last thirty years, the inhabitants of nearby Pula have built a modern settlement in Pješcana Uvala, with private houses and family-run hotels. This bay boasts numerous restaurants, two of which are the leading ones in Croatia. They have been included in all gastronomic guides and have received the most prestigious tourist awards. Pješcana Uvala offers a true gastronomic experience.
Once a mussel farm, today famed for its marina, Pomer lies in a well-protected part of Medulin Bay. The marina provides 250 berths and 50 boat places on land, together with all necessary facilities. Not far from the marina, at the very seaside surrounded by pine trees stretches the newly renovated campsite with its own football field and volleyball court. There is also private accommodation in apartments and rooms.
Premantura is surrounded by nature not many places can boast of. South of the town is Cape Kamenjak – a protected landscape 9.5 km long, 1.5 km wide, with altogether 30 km of indented coastline. No place in the world is the sea so blue-green, so clean as here at the southernmost tip of Istria. There are plenty of rocky beaches, as well as pebbly coves. On a relatively small area there are 530 plant species and among them 20 orchid species, some of which are endemic. For this reason there are no campsites on this cape, hotels or any other type of structures.
Pula is the largest city in Istria, situated at the southern tip of the peninsula, with a population of 62,080 .The city is best known for its many surviving ancient Roman buildings, the most famous of which is its first century amphitheatre, sixth largest in the world and locally known as the Arena. This is one of the best preserved amphitheatres from antiquity and is still in use today during summer film festivals. During the World War II Italian fascist administration, there were attempts to disassemble the arena and move it to mainland Italy, which were quickly abandoned due to the costs involved.
On entery into the old city of Rab you'll be met by the white stone of the sunlit Square of St Christopher. There is a fountain in the square embellished with two sculptures of Kalifront and the shepherdess Draga, figures from a legend of chastity and unhappy love.The city is a typically medieval urban centre surrounded by walls that are in large part still standing. The old city is dominated by four bell towers mainly in the Romanesque style.
Krvavica is situated in the central part of Croatian coast, on Makarska Riviera, in the unique combination of mountain Biokovo, green pine woods, white pebble beaches and crystal clear sea.
The beach stretches towards Makarska with numerous small bays hidden from curious eyes, whose peace and silence are disturbed only by whispering of the sea, cry of the seagull and the crickets song.

The municipality of Dugi Rat is situated by the very seaside, along the Adriatic road, and stretches from the village of Podstrana to the town of Omis. At its northern side it is surrounded by Mt Mosnjica, and on its southern side, by the sea of the Brac Channel. This entire area thus lies by the very seafront covering a surface of approximately 12 km2. If considered from the east, this region covers the following villages: Duce, Dugi Rat, Orij, Mali Rat, Sumpetar, Suhi Potok, Krilo and Bajnice. In the foot of Mt Mosnjica are old villages such as: Duce, Krug, Zeljovici and Jesenice.
Opatija, this elegant tourist destination, lies at the centre of the Riviera with the longest tradition of tourism in Croatia. The very attractive geographic position, enabling its warm seas to be quickly reached from many cities in Central Europe (only about 500 km from Milan, Vienna and Münich), lush green scenery and a pleasant climate (45° 20’ north latitude) were some of the main reasons for its beginning and the quick development of its tourism at the end of the 19th century.

The island of Cres, by size the first island in the Adriatic, is located in the northern part of the Bay of Kvarner. Its southern part, i.e. the town of Osor, is linked to the island of Lošinj by a trestle bridge. Cres is a hilly island, 66 km long and ranging in width from 2 to 12 km. The island's coastline , 248 km long, is indented; its western and southern part have a plenty of bays and pebbly beaches while the northern and eastern part are characterized with steep and rough rocks.
Island Brac, the largest island of the central Dalmatian group of islands, the third largest among the Adriaticislands; area 394.57 sq km; population 13,824. It is separated from the mainland by the Brac Channel, from the island of Soltaby the so-called SplitskaVrata (Split Gate) and from the Island of Hvarby the Hvar Channel.
The town of Vis is situated on the northern coast of the island along a most fascinating bay of St.George, closed ring-like by a small Host islet. It is the only place on the island having a daily ferry-boat and hydrofoil connection with Split, 30 nautic miles distant coastal town
Once a crown city of Croatian kings, Biograd on the sea is today a well-known tourist and nautical center in the very center of the Adriatic coast. The city is of ideal size for living. It lies on a peninsula surrounded by modern marinas looking onto the unforgettable sea strait of the Pasman canal and the islands scattered in it. A geographical position in the heart of the Adriatic surrounded by national parks and nature parks, a rich tourist tradition with cultural and sports amusements are only some of the reasons for choosing Biograd as a destination for an interesting and dynamic vacation. Biograd on the sea is a royal Croatian city first mentioned in the mid 10th century, while in the 11th century it was the center of the Croatian kings and bishops. Zadar is the centre and the watershed of the Croatian Adriatic. Placed on the Mediterranen diagonal of Europe and on the Adriatic-Ionic joining point, as close to the Croatian metropolis Zagreb as to the rest of the cities is in constant natural and circulatory communication with city Ancona on the Italian side of the Adriatic.

Biograd na Moru, grad i luka u sjevernoj Dalmaciji, nalazi se 28 km južno od Zadra, prema popisu iz 2001. godine ima 5.259 stanovnika. Smješten je na malom polutoku i kopnu. Na njegovoj sjevernoj strani je uvala Bošana a na južnoj Soline. Ispred grada su otoci Planac i Sv. Katarina (sa svjetionikom). Prosječna temperatura zraka u siječnju je 7 °C a u srpnju 24.5 °C, s prosječnim godišnjim padalinama od 840 mm. U uvali Soline nalazi se velika javna, pješčana plaža okružena borovom šumom. Biograd je lokalni trgovački i prometni centar, s dobrim vezama prema svojem zaleđu, okolnim obalnim naseljima i gradićima i otokom Pašmanom.
Today Dubrovnik is a tranquil touristic and cultural center hosting many musical, art and theater events year round. The annual Dubrovnik Summer Festival is a cultural event when keys of the city are given to artists who entertain Dubrovnik's population and their guests for entire month with live plays, concerts, and games.
